Patricia Jones![]() Exploring Old City Dubai is like stepping back in time. This historic area, home to the Gold Souk, Spice Souk, and Textile Souk, offers a glimpse into Dubai’s rich trading heritage.
The Gold Souk is dazzling, with endless displays of gold, diamonds, and precious stones. Whether you're buying or just browsing, it's an unforgettable experience. The Spice Souk is a feast for the senses, with the aroma of saffron, cardamom, dried fruits, and exotic spices filling the air. It's a great place to find high-quality spices at reasonable prices. The Textile Souk, across the creek in Bur Dubai, has beautiful fabrics, scarves, and traditional clothing.
Walking through the narrow alleys, you’ll see old architecture, wooden boats (abras) crossing the creek, and friendly vendors ready to negotiate. Taking an abra ride for just a dirham is a must-do experience.
Overall, Old City Dubai is a must-visit for those looking to experience the city's history, shop for unique items, and enjoy...
