Cem Gulden![]() As someone who frequently rents cars internationally, I have encountered various rental procedures, but my recent experience with Sixt in Istanbul was unexpectedly frustrating.
The first issue arose during check-in when they asked for my previous driver’s license, something I have never been asked for before. Fortunately, thanks to my meticulous data records, I had a photo of my old license, which saved me from further hassle. However, this was an unusual and unnecessary request that added unnecessary stress to the process.
Next, their printer was broken, so I didn’t receive a hard copy of my rental agreement. Worst of all, the car was heavily used and dirty, which I had to keep for 15 days. Definitely not the service I expected from a global company.
