I visited the historic Ali Muhiddin Hacı Bekir shop on İstiklal Caddesi and tried their baklava—both pistachio and walnut—and they were incredibly fresh and flavorful. The texture was just right, not overly sweet, and the quality of the ingredients really stood out. However, the coffee didn’t quite match the excellence of the desserts. It was a bit underwhelming compared to what you’d expect at such a renowned location. Still, if you're in the area and have a sweet tooth, the baklava is absolutely worth the stop.
