New York Indoor Market
Reviewed Monday, March 5, 2018
Easily you can spent all day here. Chelsea Market is a place all its own. Many argue it is too fancy or upscale for most. Some say, it is a melting pot of dining, shopping, gifts and more. Some find it to be the great escape from the streets of New York. It is a wonderland of a clothing shops, food, drinks and homewares. That is the best way to describe.
Very crowded, always bustling but housed inside this den of disrespected personal space are some of the tastiest food stalls, serving some prime eats. I been this place many times and each time I got here enjoyed my time.
Located near the High Line, well kind-of, a few blocks away, Chelsea Market offers a variety of small restaurants that specializes in a variety of cuisines. It brings diversity into one and allows easy access through a simple stroll along a 'strip' of crowded tourists and locals.
The walls, art throughout, decor and layout are an architectural dream. If nothing else, you will see so much beauty on the walls and ceiling. The artisan shops offering everything from spices, to baked goods to specialty hot dishes are overwhelmingly inviting.
The hallways areas, offering places to sit, rest or just people watch are well appreciated.
This is an important part of the New York City landscape.
You cannot go without permission but let you know Food Channel is also located in this building.
UPDATE: Chelsea Market officially became part of Google. The tech giant closed on its record $2.4 billion purchase the building.
