On June 22, 2018 we had dinner at Landmarc at the Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle.
We ordered Greenmarket Crudite, Hamburger, Pan-Roasted Chicken, Skirt Steak, Wild Mushroom Grilled Pizza, Pan-Seared Sea Scallops, Linguini Alle Vongole, Spaghetti Carbonara and English Pea Risotto.
- Greenmarket Crudite Appetizer is red pepper hummus with vegetable. It was well done prepared and presented with steam boiled carrots and fine lettuce. For my taste it was little less on garlic but assume general taste was okay.
- Hamburger wasnt the great taste for a good burger. It was dry and basically was nothing special about it. Worst part was French fries; they were old and instead of crunchy they were chewy.
- Pan roasted chicken generally was very well prepared. Chicken was juicy and red sauce which they used Spanish Romesco sauce also very prepared.
- Skirt steak was cooked well but chimichurri sauce was little to light for me. It need greener and garlic.
- Wild mushroom Pizza had gruyere cheese and sweet garlic. Cooked very well. It was in small portion but perfect for appetizer.
- Pan-Seared Sea Scallops served with black rice and sugar snap peas. It was very tasty with citric side taste and scallops was browned outside and it was soft inside. However rice was undercooked.
- Pasta linguini alle vongole was cooked very aldante, they took it off the bill as undercooked
- Risotto was little bit over salty but creamy enough however peas were not cooked at all.
- Spaghetti Carbonara prepared with egg yolk and it was sweet. Pasta cooked perfectly.
Desserts
- Tiramisu had not enough liquor and base was too crunchy and bad taste
- Cream brulee was sweet and very tick clustered texture
- Chocolate Mousse was good, soft and sweet enough and fluffy
- Blueberry crumble served hot with lots of fruit and less on crumble side
- Lemon tart was too sour for mine taste
- Ice cream was brand ice cream not good for this type of restaurant...
Down sides of the restaurant are:
- No fresh fruits,
- no sugar free desert option
- Served Lipton tea bag which was very low quality, not worth $5 for this type of restaurant.
- Espresso which was Nespresso for $5 also not a good chose for this quality restaurant, additional to that espresso taste was way too bitter
Some of the food was very good but some items are really not good in quality for this type of restaurant. Waiter was very good knowledge on menu and food served quick. Restaurant location is in the 2nd floor therefore there was no outside view and little bit dark in decoration.
