It is looks like more sugar cane park then museum. If you are coming from Cali, Amaime (where sugar cane museum located) will take around 1hr and to the museum another 1hr. Therefor, I wouldn't go there if I didn't have a ride. 5000 peso (apx 2,5usd) per person entrance fee. They have only Spanish guide so if don't speak the language don't forget to bring your good friend for translation... I was expecting to much from there so I got little disappointed. Basically they placed several machines and guide talk about how is the process to make panela and also you can see the farm house. There wasn't any sugar cane field, plant or actually panela to see. If they serve drinks or finger food made by sugar cane would be mayor plus for them.
Even though it is far out from town, it was safe and definitely relax location. Not far from the museum, must visit the local restaurants in Santa Lena... ...More
